Take note of any art piece (from any level) at our Art Show when you visit the wonderful displays this week.

On your blog, describe the piece that caught your eye and answer the following questions…

1 – What was the art piece about?

2 – What was the theme of the piece?

3 – What stood out in this piece?

It might be an idea to take a photo of your chosen piece so you remember it.



Sacraments of Initiation

fruit of holy spiritWe encounter Jesus through the Sacraments of Initiation-Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. In Year Five/Six we have been learning about the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Understanding, Knowledge, Courage, Wisdom, Right Judgment, Wonder and Awe in God creation and Reverence).

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit are evidence of the Holy Spirit in action. Some of the fruits are kindness, patience, joy, peace, gentleness, self-control, generosity and faithfulness.

What’s been Happening?

We have had a busy few weeks with Swimming and a visit from our friends Emily and Jephte from the Philippines. It’s time to share your thoughts! Choose either Swimming or Emily and Jephte’s visit and write a comment on what you thought.

Brilliant Book Reviews!



It’s time to spread the word about your favourite book!

Choose a book that you have read recently (this year) that you would recommend to others. You then need to write a book review on your chosen book. This will create a resource for all the children on Year 3/4 where they can come to this blog post when looking for a new book to read.

Please include the following in your review:

Genre: (Fiction, non fiction, fairy tale, poetry, mystery)

Why you would recommend this book:

Rating: (Give the book a rating out of five stars. One star being the lowest rating and five stars being the highest rating)


Remember to…

  • make sure your summary is clear and includes only the key events in the book,
  • edit your work before posting.
